Concept

The main idea of the competition “Open Stage” organized by the Foundation Sztukmistrze and The Catholic University  of Lublin is to support talented students, by enabling them to gain stage experience and present them to the Lublin public. We believe that participation in the Open Stage encourages and motivates for further creative work, and the prize money is for the young artists a chance for further development – like to purchase of necessary equipment, recording an album, to pay for extra lessons from professionals. The experience of previous editions also teaches that Open Stage gives participants the opportunity to establish interesting contacts and fulfil innovative projects, which makes an artistic career coming closer.

In the contest can participate students of all universities from Lublin region– public and private, regardless of the direction and year of study. We do not put a restriction when it comes to the form of presentation – welcome are dancers, singers, acrobats… The scene is really open to different talents – you only have to show them!

Open Stage is also interesting entertainment for the audience – is primarily an exciting finale, during which the audience votes for the best presentation, which receives the Audience Award – 1000 PLN, and the expert jury chooses presentations which receive the main award – 7000PLN. Final of the Open Stage is a celebration of student creativity, talent and freshness. More than two-hour performance in a professional setting will allow you to rediscover the strength and potential of the student culture – Lublin student culture.
